The laundromat shoot was our first real attempt at a campaign. Our first paid model. Our first location shoot. We were so excited and arrived bright and early, but wow, were we major rookies that day.
We got caught almost immediately by the store manager from the sandwich shop next doorwhile sneaking our own fake detergent paper into the dispenser. We batted our eyes and promised to put everything back exactly the way we found it. He told us we weren’t allowed to film in there, but after some begging, he said we could have just a few minutes.
Apparently, he gets too many kids climbing in the machines and acting crazy. I guess there’s not that much to do in Provo.

That’s when the sweat started dripping and the heart racing. The manager kept taking smoke breaks and watching us through the window, which did not help at all. Then we discovered that the camera battery wasn’t charged, so we kept shooting for a few minutes, then charging for a few minutes.
Embarrassing.
Our model Olivia was incredible, and we’re really proud of how the whole campaign turned out. That day put us all through the wash cycle, we got a little worked over, but we came out shiny.
